Training description
Length : 3 days, from 8 h to 16 h.
Objectives : Upon completion of this training, the student will be familiar with RouterOS software and RouterBOARD products. They will be able to configure, manage, and troubleshoot basic problems on a MikroTik product and provide services to their clients.
Target audience : Analysts, designers and network technicians interested in deploying and maintaining:
- Entreprise networks
- Customer routers (ISPs and WISPs)
Prerequisites : The student must have a good understanding of the TCP/IP protocol and Ethernet networks.
Language This training is offered in the agreed-upon language. The training materials are in English.

Introduction to the TCP/IP protocol

Introduction to the TCP/IP protocol
Length : About 6 hours.
Objectives : At the end of this training, the student will have a basic understanding of the TCP/IP v4 protocol and will be able to perform subnetting with masks of different sizes. It will also allow you to undertake MikroTik's MTCNA and MTCRE training.
Target audience : Engineers, technicians and any other person:
- Having to manage a network environment running under TCP/IP v4
- Eager to broaden their knowledge of TCP/IP v4
- Eager to quickly and confidently undertake the official MikroTik training courses
Prerequisites : : Understanding the concept of local area networks.
Course curriculum:
- Module 1 – Introduction: History of TCP/IP, Overview of networks, IP (4 layers) and OSI (7 layers) models, Collision domains and broadcast, Decimal, binary and hexadecimal systems

This will allow you to confidently undertake MikroTik's MTCNA and MTCWE training courses. Furthermore, unless you have prior practical experience with Wi-Fi; It is strongly recommended to complete this training BEFORE registering for the MTCWE.
